Pet Spay/Neuter Contract

The Savannahkin cat/kitten is sold as a pet.

I ________________, Buyer of the Savannahkin cat/kitten promise to have it altered by ____/____/____ (six months of age).

The description of the Savannahkin cat/kitten to be altered is as follows: color__________ sex__________ registration number____________ date of birth____/____/____ mother__________

I the Buyer realize; the Seller reserves the right to repossess the cat/kitten in the event that the cat/kitten has not been altered by the agreed date. The Buyer must agree to this arrangement. The cat/kitten is not to be used for breeding without written consent from the Seller.

I the Buyer realize, it is my responsibility, not the veterinarian's, to ensure Seller has received verification that the surgery has been performed. Failure to comply with this agreement by date listed above, unless otherwise agreed to in writing, will be considered a breach of contract, and Buyer will transport or pay to transport the cat/kitten back to Seller, and will not be entitled to a refund. I the Buyer will ensure that Seller receives written verification of alteration. Verification shall include the cat/kitten color, weight, breed, date of birth, and sex.

If said Savannahkin is allowed to breed, this will be breach of contract. The Seller reserves the right to take necessary action to make claim on any offspring or financial gain from this breach of contract.

Seller cannot guarantee: size, color, eye color, and length of coat.

The Seller guarantees that the cat/kitten has been seen by a licensed veterinarian and is in good health and free from disease. The cat/kitten has had any vaccinations needed at time of transfer and has been dewormed.

The cat/kitten will be replaced for fatal congenital defects medically documented and received within 1 year of life. Feline Leukemia guarantee is limited to 3 days once possession has passed from Seller to Buyer. In order for this health guarantee to be valid, the Buyer must have the cat/kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hrs. of possession of the cat/kitten (not including Sundays and holidays) to confirm the cat/kitten is in good health. These restrictions are because Seller has NO control over what the cat/kitten is exposed to after leaving Seller's home. Should a veterinarian find the cat/kitten in ill health and feels that this illness was present at the time of sale and traceable to our cattery, Seller will pay medical expenses incurred to treat the cat/kitten, not to exceed 1/3 of the purchase price. Shipping costs if applicable, are non-refundable. In addition, the Seller MUST be informed of any such problems immediately and prior to any treatment in order for this guarantee to be in effect. The Seller reserves the right to get a second opinion. Should the cat/kitten fall ill or die directly after vaccination, it is not covered under the guarantee.

Since some hereditary/congenital/genetic problems do not surface until the cat/kitten is older, and we have no way of detecting them at an earlier age, Seller will guarantee for the first year of life against any life threatening or severe genetic health problems that would substantially shorten the life of the cat/kitten (death). Upon a licensed veterinarian's confirmation of such onset, the Seller will upon return of the cat/kitten, replace the cat/kitten as soon as a suitable cat/kitten is available. There will be no cash refunds. Shipping costs, of replacement cat/kitten, if applicable, rest solely on Buyer.
